Benefits of Honey

Since thousands of years honey has been known by the public as the food that had many beneficial for health. Honey is a mixture of sugars and other compounds. With respect to carbohydrates, honey is mainly fructose (about 38.5%) and glucose (about 31.0%), making it similar to the synthetically produced inverted sugar syrup, which is approximately 48% fructose, 47% glucose, and 5% sucrose. Honey's remaining carbohydrates include maltose, sucrose, and other complex carbohydrates. As with all nutritive sweeteners, honey is mostly sugars and contains only trace amounts of vitaminsor minerals. Honey also contains tiny amounts of several compounds thought to function as antioxidants, including chrysin, pinobanksin, vitamin C, catalase, and pinocembrin. The specific composition of any batch of honey depends on the flowers available to the bees that produced the honey.
Typical honey analysis:

  • Fructose: 38.2%
  • Glucose: 31.3%
  • Maltose: 7.1%
  • Sucrose: 1.3%
  • Water: 17.2%
  • Higher sugars: 1.5%
  • Ash: 0.2%
  • Other/undetermined: 3.2%

Its glycemic index ranges from 31 to 78, depending on the variety.
Honey has a density of about 1.36 kilograms per litre (36% denser than water).
Isotope ratio mass spectrometry can be used to detect addition of corn syrup and cane sugar by the carbon isotopic signature. Addition of sugars originating from corn or sugar cane (C4 plants, unlike the plants used by bees, and also sugar beet, which are predominantly C3 plants) skews the isotopic ratio of sugars present in honey, but does not influence the isotopic ratio of proteins; in an unadulterated honey, the carbon isotopic ratios of sugars and proteins should match. As low as 7% level of addition can be detected

Hyperthyroidism

What is Hyperthyroidism?
According to Wikipedia Hyperthyroidism, often referred to as an overactive thyroid, is a condition in which the thyroid gland produces and secretes excessive amounts of the free (not protein bound, and circulating in the blood[1]) thyroid hormones, triiodothyronine (T3) and/or thyroxine (T4).

The reason that I made this blog is because I was one who suffer this disease. I would like to share my experience to everyone. This disease is not dangereous but really annoying. The Symptoms and signs are nervousness, irritability, increased perspiration, heart racing, hand tremors, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, thinning of the skin, fine brittle hair, and muscular weakness—especially in the upper arms and thighs. More frequent bowel movements may occur, but diarrhea is uncommon. Weight loss, sometimes significant, may occur despite a good appetite (though 10% of people with a hyperactive thyroid experience weight gain[7]), vomiting may occur, and, for women, menstrual flow may lighten and menstrual periods may occur less often. Those are all because of due to an excess of thyroid hormone. Thyroid hormone is important at a cellular level, affecting nearly every type of tissue in the body. Thyroid hormone functions as a controller of the pace of all of the processes in the body. This pace is called the metabolic rate. If you have this Symptoms immedietly consult a physician and do blood test to check your triiodothyronine (T3) and/or thyroxine (T4) levels.

I already suffer this disease for more than 3 years. The reason is because I did not taking medicine regularly. There are many kind of treatment for this, one of them is taking medicine regularly for amount of time until the symptom is disappear. Usually it will take around 2 years. Many of my acquaintance is recovered because they taking medicine regularly. Because of that I will try my best to get recover again so I can do my activity smoothly without taking medicine for all of my live.

So, that is all that I can share for now. I hope this is useful and thanks for your kindness to read this, I am truly sorry for my bad English J
